Blaine is the owner and jeweler of The Gem Smith®, he has been in the jewelry business for over 30 years. The Gem Smith® first started in a small shop that he and his father built. When business required a larger space for more equipment and help, The Gem Smith® relocated to West Bountiful where we stayed for 17 years. Due to a redevelopment in 2005, The Gem Smith® relocated once again to our current location at The Square at 2600 South in Bountiful.
The Gem Smith® handles many kinds of jewelry. We are a full service jewelry store, repair center, manufacturing and custom design center. Locally owned and operated, The Gem Smith® is Davis County’s go to jeweler with more capabilities than any store in the area.
How We're Different
The Gem Smith® owner and employees are more than just sales people. We approach jewelry from the ground up, knowing not only about the items in the cases, but how things were made from start to finish. Whether it be totally by old hand methods or by utilizing high tech lasers and CAD systems, we do what is needed to best serve our customers.
We have unique programs like “Loan a Ring” so you can still have a ring on your finger while yours is getting repaired.
99% of repairs are done on site.
We have a variety of jewelry from Silver to Gold and Platinum. Diamonds to Pearls, and endless colored stones. Come in and let us know what you are looking for and we will do our best to find it or make it for you.
The Gem Smith® prides itself on being an honest place to shop and have items repaired. We don’t agree with embellishing the truth or saying something we don’t agree with only to “get the sale.”
